Technically speaking, YouTube subscribers don’t mean what they did a decade ago when I started my first channel. Back then, it was the primary way to reach an audience. Today, it’s all about the algorithm.

But to me, this number still means a lot. Because I rarely invite people to “hit that subscribe button,” reaching this milestone feels genuinely organic. It’s a signal that 10.001 people actually want to see a human on the other side of the screen in an ever-growing AI slop environment.
