This unofficial G-Shock strap fixed a design flaw.

A few days after switching back to my old G-Shock, I already knew I was going to keep wearing it for a while and decided to order a softer strap. That was when I found out Casio opted for a proprietary system, restricting the available options. Of course. Why not?

The one I got isn't as soft as the one I bought for my Garmin, but it feels much better on the wrist. At least for people like me who prefer softer straps. That, and the design is definitely an improvement over the original.

They got rid of the internal wings, brackets, or whatever those things are called. All I know for sure is how easily they collect dirt and how quickly they get nasty. Furthermore, they had a tendency to pinch my wrist hairs. And that hurts. A lot. Why they are built like that in the first place is a mystery to me.
